The Art of Travel

I've come across this phrase while I was driving today - back again to Bangkok where I belong but however, I feel so foreign right here and right now - I guess it's because I have travelled too much these days. It's not my intention but sometimes trips just keep coming to me :)

In this last 1.5 months, I've been to S.Korea, India and then Malaysia. I can't say that I did not enjoy it because it turns out to be otherwise. Even more precise, I can say, the more I travel, the more pleasure I've gained -- I don't know why either..

Now I'm trying to figure out why everything new I've experienced abroad can easily touch my heart :) Guess it's because I'm open-minded (or I just love travelling than doing other things!) which I find as one of the most essential part when you decide to be a world traveller! To experience and absorb a new culture, I think we have to be really open - otherwise you will not be able to enjoy it at all - I think that's why culture shocks and barriers occur to some group of people only!

Some friends try to ask me which country I like best so far - honestly I can't answer - I feel that each country with their own unique culture, architecture, lifestyle and food offer totally different feelings to me.. and I can't really compare one to another! And that won't be fair for all the friends I have made in those countries either ;)

Anyway, it seems to hard to express my feelings - words are not really enough to say how much grateful I am to travel and make new friends and see things :) Thanks for all the hospitality in everywhere I visited. I now realised that I am really lucky that I hardly face any bad things when I was abroad (maybe except that evening in the night market in Hanoi when my handbag was cut by the pickpocketer!)...

See you again, world - I don't know where my next destination is...but one thing I know for certain is that I cannot stop travelling - coz maybe it's my destiny :) No complain anyway ^^ Lastly, I think the art of travel is really nothing new.. i feel that everyone can enjoy your trip - regardless of the destination, luxurious or economic - just simply open your eye, and all the world is yours :)
